In the Nick of Time
Do you remember my post not too long ago about how we weren't going to have enough money for groceries? (I got some great advice from you guys.) Anyway, things were looking pretty grim there for a little while. I realized from talking to my sister Camie that maybe I didn't make it clear just how small that grocery budget was either-- not only our actual food had to come out of that, but I had to buy diapers, formula, and dog food for two large dogs out of it. (Just those three things alone cost at least $100/month.) Yikes.
However, I've seen the Lord's hand in our lives again. He always does take care of us, even if we have to wait to the last minute to see it. This week, for some strange reason, Terence's paycheck included some overtime pay, even though they had told us they weren't going to pay any more overtime at all. Then, we got paid for some off-duty work that Terence had done awhile ago. Then, my brother-in-law hired me to edit his e-book, which is also bringing in some much needed cash. Finally, Terence managed to snag another off-duty job for Monday, a wide load escort that will take probably 12 hours (at $44/hr).
I'm so grateful and so amazed at the blessings pouring in. O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
