Oops, I Did It Again

Now I have plastic grocery bags melted to my burner.

My only excuse is that I had just returned from a shopping trip to Walmart with all four kids on my own. (Not for the faint of heart.)

I know, I know, it's really time to stick to the microwave.

So your burner was on the whole time you were at Walmart? That's even worse.

Oh, and perhaps stop using your stove as a table might help.

OK, Abby, it wasn't as bad as THAT. I didn't actually have the burner on at all. But I turned the oven on to preheat for dinner while I was unloading the groceries and forgot that the oven has a vent into the back burner well, which makes it get just as hot as if I'd turned it on.

You're right though, if I didn't use my stove as a table I wouldn't have this problem...at least not as often!
