Garden Week #3: Something Going Right

Well, Eureka!! We have sprouts! Not everything is poking through yet, and some of the flowers may never show up, but all of our vegetables are now showing some kind of action. Both our cucumber boxes have sprouted, our sunflower, and lots of teensy little carrot shoots are poking through. The strawberry transplants are all doing OK-- B even got to pick a strawberry from one of her plants yesterday. She was thrilled! On the casualties side: one tomato plant and possibly another. The first was not really a surprise because K pulled it all to pieces. The second has leaves that are getting yellow patches and shriveling up. No idea what that's about, but it's only about half the plant, so maybe it will pull through. Come on, baby, pull through!

Here's our progress in pictures:

We put little popsicle sticks with the seed type and whose box it was, but with the rain, the marker washed right off. So much for permanent marker. So some of these plants are going to be a surprise! (At least the sticks tell me which boxes to water though.)

Here's to another week of gardening experience!

Reading your blog today was just a continuation of our RS Lesson earlier... "The Creation"... all about ALL God's creations, but gardening is such a testament of that. It is such a beautiful day in SL today, SPRING.. in all it's glory!
I LOVE reading about gardening.
