A Day in the Life -- K

(Note: Just in case this is new to you, back in January I chose one day for each family member where I would report on what the day was like for them.  S's day was Monday.)

S had a great morning!  She slept in all the way until 9:30 am, not even noticing that her mom had left her with Daddy.  Mommy had to wake her up so that they could go to the grocery store.  Walmart is not one of her favorite places, but shopping this morning went really fast.  Daddy was there too, which was lots of fun.  (He makes silly noises and stuff.)  Then it was time to pick up her big sisters from school.  This meant it was nap time!

Nap time wasn't very long.  S woke up as soon as they made it home from the school.  Lunch was strawberry Greek yogurt and sugar snap peas in the pod.  Yummy!  Then while Mommy was busy with exercising she figured she'd play with her older sisters.  For some reason, they didn't seem to want her grabbing the toys so M stuck her in the crib.  This wasn't so bad though.  Her sisters gave her a bunch of their stuffed animals to play with and some books to chew on.  Eventually, Mommy came in and rescued her, setting her down and leaving her free to run around the house.

Dinner was Papa John's pizza, and S loves pizza!  At least she loves the toppings.  She ate the toppings off a couple of pieces.  But after dinner, things started looking gloomy.  Her runny nose was irritating her, her cough was hurting her throat, and she was sooo tired.  Mommy was so mean too.  She was making cookies and refused to share the dough with S.  This was the last straw.  S threw herself on the kitchen floor and cried miserably.  Mommy just ignored her though until she slid the tray of cookies in the oven.  Then she picked up the crying, squirming, exhausted little girl and got her ready for bed.

S was not happy about this.  She even cried through her story, knowing what was coming.

But by 7:10 pm she was fast asleep.  It had been a long, busy day!!
