Happiness is . . .

  • Standing in the celestial room of a brand new temple with your husband and children, perfectly at peace.
  • A 2 1/2 hour drive home in the car with no fighting among the kids.
  • Dinner ready and waiting in the crock pot when we got home.
  • A game of tag in the backyard, with the toddler shrieking with laughter as everyone else in the family ran around him.
  • A jog around the neighborhood just after sundown, smelling the freshly cut hay and people barbecuing.
  • Finding B deeply asleep in her bed at 9pm.
Yesterday was a nearly perfect day.

How did you get Brie to go to bed?

Only nearly? Sounds perfect to me. :)

Stefanie- I gave her melatonin. It seems to work pretty good, as long as I give it to her a couple of hours before I want her asleep.

Abby- The day would have been completely perfect, except that morning was a wee bit stressful. It got better as soon as we got out of the house!

Those nearly perfect days are what keep us muddling through the not so perfect ones.
